Driving Directions

From San Clemente, CA (Northern Coastal Area)

Take the I-5 Freeway (San Diego Freeway) southeast for approximately 22 miles. Exit I-5 via the ramp at the sign reading "CA-76E." Take Expressway 76 east for approximately 4 miles. Turn left at Douglas Drive and head northeast for approximately 4 miles. Then turn left on Vandegrift Boulevard and head north for less than a mile until you reach the San Luis Rey gate to MCB Camp Pendleton. After entering the San Luis Rey gate, take Barnet Street which is the second street to your right. (There will be a small green sign at the corner reading, "San Luis Rey Officers Club.") Your estimated travel time is 30 minutes.

From San Diego, CA (Southern Coastal Area)

Take the I-5 Freeway and go north for approximately 40 miles. Exit I-5 via the ramp at the sign reading "CA-76E." Take Expressway 76 east for approximately 4 miles. Turn left at Douglas Drive and head northeast for approximately 4 miles. Then turn left on Vandegrift Boulevard and head north for less than a mile until you reach the San Luis Rey gate to MCB Camp Pendleton. After entering the San Luis Rey gate, take Barnet Street which is the second street to your right. (There will be a small green sign at the corner reading, "San Luis Rey Officers Club.") Your estimated travel time is 45 minutes.

From Fallbrook, CA (Northern Inland Area)

Take S. Mission Road south for approximately 9 miles. Then turn right onto Mission Avenue. Go west on Mission Avenue for approximately 3 miles. Then turn right onto College Boulevard and go northwest for approximately 1 mile. Then turn right on Vandegrift Boulevard and go northeast for approximately 4 miles until you reach the San Luis Rey gate to MCB Camp Pendleton. After entering the San Luis Rey gate, take Barnet Street which is the second street to your right. (There will be a small green sign at the corner reading, "San Luis Rey Officers Club.") Your estimated travel time is 25 minutes.

From San Marcos, CA (Southern Inland Area)

Take CA-78 northwest for approximately 10 miles. Exit CA-78 via the ramp at the sign reading "College Ave." and go west for 600 feet. Turn left on Vista Way and go west for another 600 feet. Then turn right on College Boulevard and go north for approximately 5 miles. Go over the College Bridge (which spans the San Luis Rey River) and turn right. Travel northeast on North River Road which soon turns into Vandegrift Boulevard. In approximately 4 miles, you will reach the San Luis Rey gate to MCB Camp Pendleton. After entering the San Luis Rey gate, take Barnet Street which is the second street to your right. (There will be a small green sign at the corner reading, "San Luis Rey Officers Club.") Your estimated travel time is 22 minutes.

Here's another view of the San Luis Rey Officers Club taken at 1600 on June 8, 2002. The orange trees in front of the club were severely trimmed (and some were removed) a couple of months ago.
